Integral barrel: it is widely used in extruders, especially when the extruder specification is small. Generally, the integral barrel is used. The heating and cooling device layout of this barrel is simple and convenient, the temperature control is easy to ensure, and the barrel processing accuracy is high.
Segmented barrel: it is mainly used in larger extruders and exhaust extruders. Because the barrel is composed of several sections, the length of each section of the barrel is small. The segmented barrel is connected with flange, which brings some difficulties to the layout of barrel heating and cooling devices, and the temperature control of heating and cooling will not be too uniform.
Lining sleeve barrel or casting wear-resistant alloy barrel. In order to save valuable alloy steel, the barrel of larger extruder is usually formed by cast steel, and then add wear-resistant alloy or cast a layer of wear-resistant alloy material after finishing the inner hole.
The discharge port of the hopper is connected with the feed port of the barrel, the hopper is fixed on the barrel, and the hopper filled with raw materials continuously feeds the extruder.
The structure of barrel hopper is relatively simple. Generally, aluminum plate or stainless steel plate can be welded and combined to form. This hopper mode falls into the barrel by the self weight of raw materials. Therefore, the feeding mode of extruder production hopper to the barrel sometimes leads to the bridging phenomenon of raw materials in the hopper, affecting the continuity of feeding, resulting in the continuous production of extruder.
